Vice Rector of Untar Invites the Public to Critical Law Enforcement

Vice Rector I of Untar Prof. Dr. Rasji became a guest speaker in the National Seminar “National Criminal Code and End of Year Notes on Law Enforcement in Indonesia” at the Auditorium of Campus I Untar, Thursday (14/12).

The event organized by the Indonesian Society of Criminal Law and Criminology (MAHUPIKI) with the Faculty of Law (FH) Untar aims to improve law-related insights regarding the National Criminal Code (KUHP) in Indonesia.

On his occasion, Rasji explained the year-end notes related to the enforcement of the Criminal Code in Indonesia. According to him, there are still many law enforcers in Indonesia who are oriented towards interests that end up violating the law.

He hopes that law enforcement in Indonesia can be better in the future. In addition, Rasji invited the public to be more critical of law enforcement and prepare for the 2024 general election.

In his speech, the Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. hoped that the participants could become role models for the community in the field of law through the insights gained.

In addition to Prof. Rasji, as a resource person Professor Emeritus of Criminal Law FH Padjadjaran University Prof. Dr. Romli Atmasasmita, S.H., LL.M., Professor of Criminal Law FH University of Indonesia Prof. Dr. Harkristuti Harkrisnowo, S.H., M.A., as well as Chairman of the DPP MAHUPIKI and Assistant Special Staff of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for Legal Affairs Dr. Firman Wijaya, S.H., M.H.

On the same occasion, the MAHUPIKI Central Board was also inaugurated for the 2023-2028 Period. (YI/AW/KJ)
