Prof. Dr. Rasji, S.H., M.H. and Prof. Ar. Dr. Ir. Fermanto Lianto, M.T., IAI. were inaugurated as permanent professors of Untar in a procession held at the auditorium of Untar campus, Wednesday (6/12).
The procession was led by Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. and attended by Head of Higher Education Service Institution Region III (LLDikti III) Prof. Dr. Toni Toharudin, S.Si., M.Sc.
Rasji became a Permanent Professor of Constitutional Law. He also became the ninth professor from the Faculty of Law (FH) Untar. Meanwhile, Fermanto is the first alumni of Architecture Study Program of Faculty of Engineering (FT) Untar to hold the title of Permanent Professor of Architecture Science.
In his inaugural speech entitled “Building Legal System of Policy Regulation Testing in Indonesia”, Rasji explained that policy regulations are not widely understood by most people, even legal experts. According to him, policy regulations are an important thing in the legal system in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Fermanto delivered a speech entitled “The Role of Engineering Technology in Realizing Architectural Design”. He revealed the need for the role of engineering technology in selecting the right structural system, in order to realize an architectural design.
During his speech, the Head of LLDikti Region III appreciated Untar for its contribution to higher education. According to him, Untar has encouraged lecturers to become new professors in various fields of science.
“Untar’s achievement shows its commitment to the quality of higher education and science development,” he said.
He added that Untar’s achievement is the result of cooperation between the university and academics in creating a good academic environment, thus encouraging the birth of leaders and experts in various disciplines.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Untar hopes that the two new professors can provide reputable and useful works for the community, nation, and state, while advising to remain humble and responsible.
Brief History of Education and Career
Rasji received his Bachelor of Laws degree from FH Untar and continued his Master of Law studies at the University of Indonesia. His doctoral degree was successfully completed at the Untar Law Doctoral Study Program. He has been trusted to hold various structural positions at Untar, namely as Head of the Bachelor of Laws Program, Vice Rector IV, Vice Rector II, and currently serves as Vice Rector.
Meanwhile, Fermanto Lianto is an alumnus of Bachelor of Architecture and Master of FT Untar. He earned his Doctor of Architecture degree from Parahyangan Catholic University in 2018 with a GPA of 4.0 and obtained the title “Cumlaude”. Fermanto, who is also a practitioner, was once the Head of Architecture and Planning Department of FT Untar in 2018-2022 and is now the Manager of Development and Cooperation of FT Untar. (DN/YS/AW)
