The Faculty of Law (FH) Untar student team consisting of King William, Amanda Fitriani Eka Putri, and Nathanael Telaumbanua won 1st place in the Nayantaka Law Fair Legal Opinion Competition, Sunday (18/2) at Sebelas Maret University.
The three students competed in writing a legal opinion on a case that is happening in the life of the surrounding community. This year, the theme of the competition was doxing.
Representing the team, King said doxing or spreading personal data is a criminal offense that still does not have significant regulation in Indonesia.
“This led us to title our legal opinion ‘Urgency of Legal Arrangements for Doxing Victims and Optimization of Data Privacy Protection in the Digitalization Era’,” King continued.
On the other hand, Nathanael revealed that he and his team often use their semester break as a means of achievement.
“Always take every opportunity, don’t be afraid to try, and maximize the use of existing facilities to develop yourself,” Nathanael said.
